Every ministry has an identity, a DNA if you will, which is formed by the interaction of theology, philosophy and practice. Incarnational Missional Sacrificial Depth |

THEOLOGY Theology is a ministry's understanding of God and His Word. |
PHILOSOPHY Philosophy is how a ministry embodies its theological beliefs. |
PRACTICE Practice is the actual service of the body. |

Incarnational - (John 1: 9-14) John 1: 14 Missional - (Matthew 5: 13-16; 25: 31-46) Matthew 5:13-14 Matthew 25: 35-36 Sacrificial - (Matthew 20: 28) Matthew 20:28 (NIV) Depth - (Matthew 28: 19-20) Matthew 28:19-20 (NIV) |
Incarnational perspective: Like the Son of God who left His heavenly home to dwell among those whom He loved, we want to be known for our willingness "to get out of the salt shaker" and take the Gospel from within the walls of our building and "flavor" the lives of others. Missional perspective: To be "Salt and light" and win the least, last, and lost of our society by the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We seek to accomplish this through challenging our people to live a Gospel-centered life and missionally serving through our ministries of sports, mentoring, church and Women of 2xSalt. (Practice) Sacrificial perspective: The Bible teaches to have a heart of humility that says, "Do not cater to me. I am here to serve." In the end, the greatest need, felt or not, is for the Gospel. We need to sacrifice our time, talent and treasures for His glory. Depth perspective: We believe the primary purpose of ministry is to make disciples |

What does this mean for you? The driving passion in our philosopy is that our ministry does not merely consist of property, buildings and people doing sports, mentoring and church, but authentically being the body of Christ that is "culturally relevant" in sharing life together with all people yet never being "spiritually irrelevant." |
